Today is my birthday, and Lindsey made me a Swedish birthday cake, complete with fresh fruit, homemade whipped cream and cook-it-on-the-stove pudding (yes, pudding in a cake!). It was terrific. Strawberries and blueberries on top, and then strawberries and bananas and pudding in between layers of cakey goodness!
It’s -17F outside right now, and I have the window open in my office.(I left the heat on over the weekend…oops)

We saw Opera Omaha’s Madama Butterfly on Friday night. It was incredible. Lindsey pointed out that the male lead looked like Will Ferrell: Which is which? Well if you can’t tell, I’m not going to. But the guy on the right was in Elf.
Well, mostly. We got all the laminate laid this weekend, with some greatly-appreciated help from our neighbor Kevin of dome house fame.
