    • Not to beat a dead S&M horse, but while playing through some of Sam and Max ep 6 tonight, we came across this exchange between the two furry freelance police officers when confronted with a pot of old slimey coffee:

    S: That coffee takes me back to that time we were in France, behind enemy lines, crawling through miles of neck deep black sludge.

    M: And what was the name of that enemy interrogator?

    S&M together, swooning: Jean-Luc!

    The sad part is that I immediately burst out laughing, realizing that they were parodying this General Foods International Coffee commercial:


    I watched wayyy too much TV as a kid, and play wayyy too many video games now.

      I’m not sure I’d be proud of actually remembering that, but at least you still have your memory. One more kid and it will start going away…..

      Hey, thanks for digging up that video! It’s been decades since I’ve seen that commercial. I didn’t think anybody younger than me would have any hpe of getting that joke.
