Kodak Signet 40
This is one of the cameras Lindsey found this summer. The other half of the leather field case snaps over the top. Pretty schnazzy!
As far as I can tell you get one shot per bulb with that flash. It has a sort of revolver-style mechanism in the back that you can use to hold 6 bulbs at a time and swap them in as necessary. I haven’t been able to get the flash to fire though. It uses a weird 15V battery I haven’t been able to get my hands on yet.
With the help of the Internet I was able to find a PDF version of the manual for this camera. It’s from 1954 and explained how to focus and use the different film settings. I actually took some pictures with it this summer — I need to get them developed. There’s no button on top to take a picture. Instead you push a little lever next to the lens. I’m afraid to see how my shots turned out.
