I used to bike east on Main until I hit the gravel -- never went far enough to hit dirt road though. Maybe if I would have had a bike at that time that wasn't from Wal-Mart...

Are there any mtn. biking trails around the Vermillion area? I generally stuck to the pavement when I was there so I have no idea. Is Vermillion working on adding bike lanes?

@Kevin: Last time I rode through a field I ended up with poison ivy. Big ouch.

@Nicole: There aren't many actual trails, but living in a rural town means access to many many dirt/gravel/old roads, which is almost as good.

@Chris: Pretty much, but according to google maps, it stops being Main before it gets too nasty: http://maps.google.com/?ie=UTF8&ll=42.778189,-96.844869&spn=0.007969,0.017338&t=h&z=16&om=1
