Underwear-head

At least it matches his shirt.

Free Music (from sxsw)

And Dutter and Dutter with hatchets a-flutter!

Today is my birthday, and Lindsey made me a Swedish birthday cake, complete with fresh fruit, homemade whipped cream and cook-it-on-the-stove pudding (yes, pudding in a cake!). It was terrific. Strawberries and blueberries on top, and then strawberries and bananas and pudding in between layers of cakey goodness!

OpenGL photo fun!

I haven’t programmed any OpenGL since college, but this blog post which I stumbled across from planet GNOME caught my eye.  It’s a (relatively) simple C program that makes use of GLSL to perform some fun image transforms a la Apple’s Photobooth software.  GLSL (or any other shader language) didn’t exist when I studied OpenGL, […]

It’s been awhile since I’ve posted an ultrasound.  (In fact it looks like the old ones aren’t there anymore)Our new baby (boy | girl) should show up at the end of this summer — due just one day before Tommy was back in 2003.  This is going to be good!More ultrasonic pictures here!

Tommy’s marshmallow launcher

I’m finally sharing the video of Tommy discovering how to use his “marshmallow launcher.” I built this back in October using the instructions from an old issue of Make.

Jumper’s Knee

It turns out the “messed up knee” I mentioned the other day is Patellar Tendinitis, also known as Jumper’s Knee.  The good news is I can still run…eventually.  The bad news is this takes several weeks to heal.  The ugly news is that I had planned on running my first 5K this Saturday.  Ugh…
