As another use for zip ties, just last week I fixed a coworker's sandal with one (a sleek black variation). The solution was so successful, she contemplated breaking and fixing her other sandal similarly. Seems as though that would deter only the laziest of thief, but I’m glad it worked!

I eventually ran home and got my bike lock. I figured if any potential thief saw what I had done they'd probably slash my tires out of spite.
