    • I installed the new Google Desktop 2.0 yesterday. While their first version was great, this one is so much better, bringing spotlight-esque searches to my Windows desktop.

    Also, Lindsey and I have been playing around with Google Talk. It looks great and is nicely interoperable — I added my gmail/googletalk account to gaim with no problem. If only the VOIP/call functionality worked with other clients. Lindsey was right. Google is taking over the world, but in precisely the way that Apple didn’t and Microsoft shouldn’t have.
