A weekend with Jude Law

We watched some movies this weekend. We started off with with the baby-friendly Shark Tale on Friday night, and it thouroughly sucked. Saturday night we started I Heart Huckabees, which I was conviced would also suck. I could not have been more wrong. I really liked that movie, even though I […]

Beer and babies

It’s St. Patrick’s day, and I observed the best way I could — I took a picture of beer with my phone and then emailed it to myself so I could blog about it later:

While looking through the pictures on my phone, I found this one that I took at a rest stop somewhere on […]

Nasty fixes for nasty firewire problems

I have a firewire hard drive that I use as part of a backup process. Every week I copy about 80GB to it. Tyring to do this in Windows completely hosed the drive. I have had similar problems with other FW drives and Windows PCs. I didn’t expect to have the […]

Fable, and Myth(TV)

Lindsey asked me if I had finished Fable. Usually when you defeat the main bad guy in a game, and they show the credits for said game, it means that you have in fact completed it. Not so with Fable. Or maybe it is. I really don’t know, but they let […]

Where oh Jack is now thy sting?

Friday dose of functional programming jargonspank

Have a read at this…if you dare.

Not only is this guy implementing a programming language that doesn’t exist yet , he’s doing it in freaking haskell!

The whole thing is named after a dog, or the hugs haskell implementation, depending on who you ask.

Following the links in the above article that started all this, I stumbled […]

How to get rid of teh STICKY KEYS in Windows XP

I got burned by the sticky keys this morning. It won’t happen again.

Edit C:\WINDOWS\inf\sysoc.inf

Find the line that reads as follows:

AccessOpt=ocgen.dll,OcEntry,optional.inf,HIDE,7

Delete the HIDE so it reads:

AccessOpt=ocgen.dll,OcEntry,optional.inf,,7

Open Control Panel -> Add/Remove Programs -> Add/Remove Windows
Components -> Accessories and Utilities -> Details -> Uncheck
Accessibility Wizard -> OK

Looks like I’m not the only one…

…who thinks Bobby Flay is annoying.
