After finishing the xbox mod a few weeks back, I added a few things to my “List of things that are never true…ever…not even a little”
1) Auto-installer disks “just work”
Whenever someone says that their auto-installer-do-it-all xbox software installation disk works with “all xboxes, including version 1.5 and possibly beyond”, I now know that they mean that said disk in fact does not work at all with any xbox version 1.4 or newer, leaving my 1.5 out in the rain.
2) CDR media don’t work in any xbox, especially those with the Thomson DVD drive.
Yeah… I used CDR media on two Thomson drives, and both worked.
At least the Simpsons Road Rage loads faster now, and I can start playing Max Payne.
