Come back, 1 year…

They sent us home this morning. The contractions, while “real”, have not done their job of preparing the path for baby. They said it was best to wait out this easy part of labor at home. Read the full acount of last night below…

L is tryng to sleep, so I figured I should type what I can now before I forget.
We started timing contractions at about 5:55 today. Most people time with a stopwatch; We used a Zaurus. They kept up for about 90 min before we called the hospital.
We arrived in the ER at about 7:30. They hooked up the contraction/baby monitor and checked the graphs after an hour. Things looked consistent, so they checked us into the hospital. We called parents shortly thereafter. That was interesting…
L has been able to laugh through contractions, even some of the bigger ones. At one point she started singing the theme to Sanford and Son.

(later…)
They just checked the contractions again. Still on track. Time for sleep.

Sunday, 8ish AM
The doc just told us to go home and wait this out until we get closer to go time. dah!
